Description

The aim of this module is to provide the learner with a deeper understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and related issues. By providing additional information and insights, it aims to build upon existing knowledge and enhance participants’ ability to effectively address safeguarding concerns.

This module will cover:
  • Identifying the key pieces of legislation that relate to safeguarding adults.
  • Recognising the different types of abuse and how to identify them.
  • Understanding the details of the Mental Capacity Act and its implications for safeguarding.
  • Effectively addressing safeguarding concerns and implement the appropriate procedures.
On completion of this module, learners will be able to:
  • Identify the key elements of legislation that relate to safeguarding adults.
  • Recognise the different types of abuse and how to identify them.
  • Understand mental capacity and its implications for safeguarding.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and implement procedures effectively.
